Healthy salad dressing

We very often get to hear that dressings and sauces are very unhealthy and is not suitable for a person who is trying to lose weight or just wants to stay in shape.

Well, that is the same as everything else we eat. For example, there are different types of products for foods and that means that the nutrition content variates as well and dressings and sauces are no exception. I think everything i okay in moderation and sometimes even I eat bought finished sauces from the stores to my salad or food, but yes it’s true that these often as filled with sugar and substances. So if we sometimes should consider to buy finished sauces etc. it still doesn’t mean that we can’t eat dressings! So therefore  usually makes my own homemade dressing with wholesome and clean products 🙂

I eat salads very often and I feel that it can taste dry without any dressing, so I make my own which I just love 😀 People have been asking me to share the recipe and of course I can:

Healthy salad dressing:

  • 200 g low fat quark or turkish yoghurt
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1-2 pressed garlics
  • 2 – 2,5 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • a hand full of fresh basil 

Directions:

1. This dressing is even simpler to make than the salad itself! just mix all the ingredients in a blender and mix until it gets smooth! It has a very good texture and a lovely mint green color from the basil. Pour some over the salad and it’s done 😀
